001 ♞ Borrowed Support Group [Video]

Hi, my name is Malcolm. I'm another one of the 'borrowed'. Sentinel, specifically. That's a word me and someone else figured we'd call our group, I don't know if it's gonna catch on or not.

Anyway, regardless of whatever intentions or obligations the 'leaders' of this place had, it's pretty obvious that being brought here has caused everyone a lot of pain, or at least inconvenience. Maybe you'd like to talk about it? I wanted to create a support group, let people kind of just... talk. No judgement. Air their grievances among their peers.

Is that something people would want to do? If there's enough interest, I'll try to setup a time and place.

'Borrowed' is good. 'Stolen' might be better for those of us who can't leave, maybe. I'm not exactly the talk-therapy type, but the idea is sound.

[That, and he might have an in with the higher-ups and the stronger his argument for changes to be made, the better. Not that he'd use names of course; he's a CIA agent, he knows how confidentiality works.]

Yeah, it definitely looks like the term was coined without a complete knowledge of the situation.

It's a good tactic though, taking a different name than the ones we get handed. It might not change anything but it balances the power scales somewhat.

Yeah, I don't think 'borrowed' is going to catch on. Since at least half of us supposedly can't go back. And I don't think some cute group therapy is going to fix that. [Jeez, okay. Thanks for your input, Debbie Downer.

Tony shrugs, and tries to tone down the negativity. Just because he's miserable doesn't mean everybody else has to be, too.] But I guess if it helps people feel better, whatever. The worst people can do is not show up.

[Like, Tony's not going to show up. But if there were people who were into that sort of thing, it would be nice for them, probably.]

Yeah. The Sentinels are supposed to be able to leave after a year, but the Fatemarked are stuck here. That's what they've been saying. You didn't know that?
