Now that everyone's had a chance to settle it, it's as good a time as any to announce assignments. I won't do this every time, but occasionally I'll be the one making announcements on behalf of the governors.

[A beat.]

I should probably introduce myself.

My name is Sarah Harding. I've been here about six months. Until recently, I taught Wilderness Survival, but I've been reassigned, myself. We have a surplus of Fatemarked and not enough Sentinels to go around, so every hand's on deck.

I encourage all of you to introduce yourselves if you haven't yet, particularly to the people to whom you've been assigned. Here goes nothing:

Cissie King-Jones, I'm assigned to you. Let me know, we can meet up and talk.

Tony Stark, you're with Gene Khan.

Jack Metcalfe, Daniel Kinney.

Martha Jones, looks like you were specifically requested by Severus Snape.

Chase Collins, you're with Alex Marsters.

[She falters over the next name.]

Ru- [...] Rumpelstiltskin - Really? - you're with O'danyu Mitnu. Did I say that right?

Lastly, Tim Drake and Seraphina Mirandir.

I think that's everyone. If you have any questions about the assignments or the Facility, I can try to answer them.

Would you happen to know what new activation of duties might follow this assignment? Or is it simply as Rumpelstiltskin may wish to do, I act as guardian?

[Alex clicks over to the video option and his expression is clearly bemused.]

[His voice is downright cold - pretty harsh, especially since he's talking to the first friend he's managed to make, here. This has clearly touched a nerve.]

[Alex's smile slips, his expression growing far more serious. He makes an adjustment on his own reply, securing the conversation; Alex might not be overly tech-friendly, but he'd checked into that function pretty early on. At least it gave a false sense of security, as he figured the Governors could read what they wanted.]

What's going on, Tony? Clearly you guys know each other from back home... what's his deal?

[Curiosity for certain, but not for it's own sake; better to know possible problems before they occurred.]

His deal is he's the thing I protect people from, not the other way around.

[And boy, does that chafe something fierce. Not only is Gene here, not only is he being pampered and protected, but Tony's the one who's supposed to protect him.]

If the Trust wants him? I think we should let them have him.

[Alex's brows draw together at the first and then rise sharply at the last.]

That you protect people from? [A beat... then.] What the hell did he do? [There isn't doubt in his voice, only a search for some sort of explanation; for a reaction like Tony's to have been so visceral meant there was serious bad blood between the two.]

Sometimes, they'll send people off on missions, but for now, I think they want us to get to know our wards and train as much as possible. Especially the new people.
