Now that everyone's had a chance to settle it, it's as good a time as any to announce assignments. I won't do this every time, but occasionally I'll be the one making announcements on behalf of the governors.

[A beat.]

I should probably introduce myself.

My name is Sarah Harding. I've been here about six months. Until recently, I taught Wilderness Survival, but I've been reassigned, myself. We have a surplus of Fatemarked and not enough Sentinels to go around, so every hand's on deck.

I encourage all of you to introduce yourselves if you haven't yet, particularly to the people to whom you've been assigned. Here goes nothing:

Cissie King-Jones, I'm assigned to you. Let me know, we can meet up and talk.

Tony Stark, you're with Gene Khan.

Jack Metcalfe, Daniel Kinney.

Martha Jones, looks like you were specifically requested by Severus Snape.

Chase Collins, you're with Alex Marsters.

Malcolm Ducasse is with Brigid Finn.

[She falters over the next name.]

Ru- [...] Rumpelstiltskin - Really? - you're with O'danyu Mitnu. Did I say that right?

...Right.

Lastly, Tim Drake and Seraphina Mirandir.

I think that's everyone. If you have any questions about the assignments or the Facility, I can try to answer them.

Not enough to my perception.

[ It's basically just hyurs here. Not necessarily Sarah's fault, but it is rather unsettling. ]

Would you happen to know what new activation of duties might follow this assignment? Or is it simply as Rumpelstiltskin may wish to do, I act as guardian?

[ethology]

Sometimes, they'll send people off on missions, but for now, I think they want us to get to know our wards and train as much as possible. Especially the new people.

[paeon]

As is sensible. I can understand such reasoning. As a senior sentinel, would you happen to have any tips?

[ethology]

I wouldn't consider myself a senior anything. I've been here longer, but I've never been assigned.

Honestly, though - trust your gut. Your instincts are usually right.

[paeon]

Then you are at least more familiar with the day-to-day schedule.

That is something we agree upon. Was Wilderness Survival a popular subject?

[ethology]

Popular, yes. It was very interactive. Unfortunately, it wasn't particularly useful in the middle of a city. I'd like to think the skills will be employed, but people tend to rely on street smarts first out there.

[paeon]

Are we never to leave the city where such lessons might have use?

[ethology]

At the moment, we can't even go up to the city.

Eventually, it's possible, but with the shortage of Sentinels, we couldn't afford to have me on a 'superfluous' class. It was either wilderness survival or hacking getting the axe, and one of those is clearly more useful than the other within a 25-mile radius.

[paeon]

Hacking? As in... collecting lumber?

[ They do have computers and tech where she's from, but it isn't in common use within her country nor is hacking really possible with the type of tech that it is. ]

No - that would similarly be a wildlife skill. 'Hacking' is the term used for accessing secure or protected information on computers.
